Clear a Path to Your Dream Life

Clutter-is-not-just-the-stuLisa-Z

Clutter can impact the depth of your relationships. It's harder to be present, stay attentive and interpret feelings when your visual surroundings are filled with random stimuli.

"Chaos and overwhelm. Everything around me is just too much." These are words Lisa hears all too often from her stressed and confused clients.

Lisa helps her clients declutter both their physical and mental spaces. Overwhelm and clutter have blocked her clients from getting to where they want to be.

She believes that the process of simplifying and decluttering enable you to make value based choices. Inorder to make choices that matter to you, you need to streamline and tidy up your physical space so that you can enjoy more efficient thinking and clearer decision making.

So what's the deal with clutter? Clutter, physical and mental, interrupts your flow. It can both block your ability to move forward and your ability to think clearly.

Physical cluttering is simply more possessions than can fit into the available space.

Studies show that clutter impacts feelings of satisfaction with our homes as well as our life. Many people identify closely with their homes and the extent to which it's cluttered can interfere with the pleasure they experience when being there.

Clutter can make it difficult to navigate and get done what you need to in order to live comfortably within your home. Your home should be a retreat and a comfort from the outside world. Living in clutter impedes your positive identification with your home as a place in which to relax and feel pride. Clutter may leave you feeling that your home is your enemy and not your friend.

Getting rid of the clutter in your home, seems to be a key factor to your feelings of happiness and well-being.

"Mental clutter" is a state of mind in which it's difficult to distinguish between relevant and irrelevant information. This will make you slower in processing information such as recalling names of people whom you know.

Neatness and decluttering seem therefore to have a positive impact on your happiness, while your physical health and cognitive abilities will benefit tremendously too.

So, get out a clean trash bag, and start enjoying your surroundings more as you begin to think more clearly, confidently and creatively.
